Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not suitable for Podcaster The Shockmount is advertised as being designed for the Podcaster microphone. However the Podcaster works best when one is speaking directly into the top of the microphone. The Shockmount does not allow the de-popper to extend over the top, only the side of the microphone. Perhaps it may be useful for singing or loud vocals, but is is useless for voiceovers.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect! THis is a great mount. I use it with the NT2A. Easy to attach and remove. The added bonus is the ability to adjust the proximity between the mount and the mic.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Integrated unit made for the job. PROS
A sturdy all-in-one/intergrated unit.Highly and easily adjustable.

Now the original shock mount supplied with the mic (Rode NT1-A) is redundant, a bit of a waste, would have been good if Rode could have made the filter conect to already existing shock mounts instead of requiring to have to buy a whole new unit. Pricng though, was on par with other non-shock mount pop flters.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This is the one to get... At the price you pay this is a great Shock Mount & Pop Filter for your Microphone, I have this working in conjunction with the Podcaster USB and works a treat. They both add a difference overall to my work adding some subtle professionalism.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for the job This shock mount/pop filter is perfect for use with compatible mics. Be aware that is heavy and when added to the mic weight you will need a good quality heavy duty stand.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for the job Had been using a 3rd party product but got sick of re-adjusting after use. This shock mount is easy & quick to setup and does the job as advertised. Only thing to be aware of - unit is quite heavy, but if using this product you would already need a robust mic stand for the weight of the mic.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Almost perfect This thing is almost perfect. I have never got on with gooseneck popshields. They tend to shake and are cumbersome to bend into exactly the right spot. The SM6 solves this problem but raises another - at least when using a Rode NT2A mic. It barely screws into to the base. I don't think I can even get a 1/4 of a turn into the base (mic into shockmount base that is). There's just enough available thread to 'hold on' to the mic but you need to be exacting, precise and deliberate when you screw your mic into the base or it could easily fall out. Once you've found the thread as you rotate the mic into it, you'll barely get a 1/4 of a turn.

If you plan on using an NT2A with it, just be careful. It works and does the job beautifully but don't let friends, colleagues or performers fiddle with the mic or you could find yourself cursing.
