Nice and cheap option for DSLR MIC
This product is great for people who don't like DSLR camera inbuilt audio which in my opinion sucks. This mic gives you way better audio quality. Best thing is that it doesn't need batteries and there is no on and off switch which helps in case you record and forgot to turn the button on. The built is nice way better that VIDEOMIC PRO, and the quality is good for the price tag.

VideoMic Go good.
Mounting system feels a bit more rugged than the Video Mic Pro I replaced with. Plus no need for separate battery a plus. It is sensitive to wind so a dead kitten recommended. I'm am using with a Panasonic GH4 and don't have buzz issues, which I was very happy to discover. Good value for $.

Hi, I have a Canon 1100d dslr. I want to check if this would be compatible with this camera? I would like to record instructional videos/interviews and edit them in Adobe Premier. I want to make sure there will be no issues picking up the audio.

Hi Ev,
I'm not familiar with that camera & all the specs I've seen don't mention a microphone input. Does it have a microphone input as far as you know? If not, there is no way you can plug it into your camera.

Hi Ryo,
Like the majority of shotgun microphones on the market, it is a mono microphone but features a stereo 3.5mm connector - so that audio comes through both left & right channels on your recordings.
