Lavalier Lapel Microphone
RX-CAM Camera-Mounted Wireless Receiver
TX-BELT Beltpack Wireless Transmitter
Captive TRS cable
RØDELink represents the next generation of digital wireless systems.
Using a series II 2.4GHz digital transmission with 128-bit encryption, it is able to constantly monitor and hop between frequencies to maintain the strongest possible signal level at a range of up to 100 metres (over 100 yards).
The RØDELink Filmmaker Kit provides everything you need to start shooting video wirelessly, including a receiver, transmitter and broadcast-grade lavalier microphone.
The receiver (RX-CAM) features an OLED display with information on level, battery status (receiver and transmitter), mute and channel selection.
The unit can be mounted on a standard camera shoe mount, 3/8" thread or belt-clip, and for added versatility the shoe mount can be located in one of two positions.
The lightweight transmitter (TX-BELT) can be fitted to a belt or clothing and features a locking thread to ensure the microphone connection is as secure as possible.
RØDE’s omnidirectional Lavalier microphone is included in the kit to provide the highest possible audio reproduction quality.
100 METRE RANGE RØDELink is so intuitive that it works straight out of the box, with no channel selection necessary. For users with multiple RØDELink devices the system offers eight discrete channels that can be setup in seconds. * range estimations based on optimal environment

Wired vs wireless. Love the wireless connection and clarity.
Was using directly wired mics which you can't beat for clarity. However this is so good being wireless.

GREAT BUY, CRISP AUDIO, VERY AFFORDABLE
I've only used this for a couple filming gigs so far but I have been blown away by the quality of this kit. Very clear and crisp audio. The entire lav set up is small, lightweight and practical for run and gun filmmaking. The kit is very reasonably priced, I highly recommend this product!

Perfect for travel!
We used this for a missions trip in Asia, it was ideal to not worry about frequencies and all the other hassles that can come from wireless systems. We have had no problems, easy to use, quick to set up!

Fantastic product
I bought this to record instructional videos and it's been flawless so far. Sound is clear, no interference, and have had no dropouts from as far as 30m away. I haven't tested more expensive products, but for the money you can't fault this unit.

Best wireless microphone in sub $1k price-point
Use professionally for recording moving talent, or two people at once. Lavaliers will never replace a boom mic for me, but the convenience and price point, along with battery performance and sound quality, these are absolutely, well and truly, invaluable assets to any professionals kit.
I use these plugged into Tascam DR-60D Mk II. Audio quality is fantastic. To mount the receivers on 15mm rods, these use the larger thread tripod screw, not the smaller 3/8th sized screw.

An excellent solution for poor or complicated audio setups.
I bought this because I got tired of fiddling with recording on my iPhone and then syncing the rubbish camera radio with the improved iPhone-captured audio. The Rode FilmMaker eliminates not only that but simply provides excellent audio quality eliminating the need for a lot of post audio alterations.

This product lived up to expectations
I am part of a group of amateur video-makers and we as a group have four of these RodeLinks and have had consistently good results. Easy to set up and use and reasonably unobtrusive

Highly Recommended Wireless Lav Mic System
I have used the Rode RodeLink Filmmaker Kit and I am satisfied with my decision to buy this sytem. I have used other brands before and none were as easy to set up and use as this product. For best results turn the input level down on the camera before recording so that there is less noise from the cameras own pre-amps. This is a great product from Rode and it has the right balance between quality and price.

High fidelity crystal clear sound
Great to use in the field, no worries about local frequency availability or radio interference. Fully digital sound transmission. I can monitor the charge state of the transmitter battery on the receiver display. No worries about batteries dying in the middle of a take.

Best bang for buck!!!
Much cheaper than other wireless microphones. Great sound quality and very easy to use.
I recently purchased the RodeLink Filmmaker Kit for recording presenters at a tech meetup that I help organise. The mic has excellent clarity, as with all Rode microphones. Setup is a breeze. Simply turn on the receiver and transmitter and they'll automatically sync.

Excellent Set-Up Works Well Good Audio Quality
The wireless system works fine, has good range, and is not region specific. Functions well in a noisey wireless environment. The mike quality is good (though frequency response is a little toppy to my ear). Gain adjustement allows me to ensure little background hiss, and the 3pin to XLR input converter allws me to use the unit with all my cameras. The wind shield is effective. Another excellent Rode product.
Verified Reply - Sales TeamYes, it should be compatible with your camera.

Q
Would this be suitable to use with the Tascam DR-40 Hand held recorder and Does the Tascam have the ability to only record the line input channel and not use the built in mics.

Will work with the DR-40 without an issue (best to buy a Rode VXLR adaptor so it turns the output of the Rodelink into an XLR & then that plugs straight into the DR40).
You can disable the built in mics or keep them on depending on what you need for your particular job.
Q
Will the trx accept and transmit a line level input. eg A signal from an auxiliary send from a mixer.

Hi there,
It can take a line level signal. The transmitter will light up red if it starts to clip, so if you've got an adjustable volume control for the output - it would be ideal in this situation just in case you're running a tad too hot.
Q
Is it possible to convert the 3.5mm TRS output of the receivers to an XLR jack? I have only just found out that you cannot practically do this with the Rode SmartLav+. Thsnks.

Q
Is it possible to buy a second mic and TX pack that will transmit to the same RX unit back at the camera? If so, what is the cost of the second cavalier mic and TX pack?

Verified Reply - MichaelNo, only one trasmitter, to one receiver. You will need to buy multiple units, on different chanels. If you after a multichannel system , ie two lapels to one reciver look at the saramonic system. https://www.videoguys.com.au/Shop/p/35633/saramonic-uwmic10-dual-channel-uhf-wireless-lavalier-microphone-system-tx10+tx10+rx10.html

Can this be hooked up to a speaker for public speaking ?

Verified Reply - MichaelYes it can. via XLR. So you would need to add the Rode VXLR accessory to this item. You can find this under the accessories tab on this product page, or via this link: https://www.videoguys.com.au/Shop/p/1592/rode-vxlr-converter-3-5-mm-mini-jack-to-3-pin-xlr-input-converter-vxlr.html
