Using our online system to create a quotation which is valid for 14 days.
We developed a simple self service system that allows Government Departments, Educational institutes, and Corporate companies, to obtain a quick quotation request, by following these simple steps.
- To create an Online Quotation, add the product(s) you wish a quote on to your shopping cart as if you were placing an order.
- After adding all the items to your shopping cart click "View Shopping Cart"
- On the Shopping Cart Page, instead of selecting the "Proceed to Checkout" button, click the "Request a Quote" button instead. (see below example)
You will then be redirected to the Login Page (if you're not already logged in) and you will be asked to log into your account. (see below)
If you don't have an account you will then need to create one, at this step. We require this information to capture all your details, so we can provide you with accurate shipping costs, and also if we needed to discuss particulars of the request with you.
Once you have logged into or created your account, you will then be re-directed to the Quotations Submission Page where you can submit your quote request.
All the items in your cart will be visible on this page (see below). You can also add any comments to the request, and select what your preferred method of payment will be.
Once the quote has been submitted, a Quote ID will be applied to it, (Shown as QU-XXXXX) which you can reference in any correspondence with us. A Confirmation of the request will also be emailed to you.
Once received by us, we will review your request and return to you with our most competitive quote.
Please allow up to 24hrs for Processing.
You will get a follow-up e-mail (Subject will read: Your Quote, QU-XXXXX has been completed).
Once you review your quote, you can "Accept"it via logging into your Account Center or modifying it by calling us during business hours.
Sound Devices unveiled the new CL-12 Linear Fader Controller, an optional accessory that significantly expands the mixing capability of the 6-Series mixer/recorder line.
The optional CL-12 linear fader controller significantly expands the mixing capability of the 688. The CL-12 attaches directly to the 688 via a single USB cable that provides both power and control, making transitions between cart-based setups and over-the-shoulder workflows quick and easy. A second 1/4-inch to 1/4-inch headphone cable is also provided to allow monitoring from the CL-12, plus it adds a low-resistance ground connection, giving extra robustness to the 688/CL-12 in the presence of static shock. Sound Devices recommends always using the supplied USB cable and 1/4-inch headphone cable for optimum CL-12 performance.
The CL-12 is compatible with the 688. With the CL-12, the 688 gains a 3-band parametric equalizer for each of its 12 inputs, shortcut access to SuperSlot™ wireless receiver data (when used with the SL-6), and MixAssist™ auto-mix monitoring.
The CL-12 also includes ports for a USB keyboard connection for efficient metadata entry, and for powering an optional USB lamp.
Beautiful Form & Function
The CL-12 comes in two models. The standard CL-12 is designed to be a sleek and durable mixing surface with robust black aluminum side panels. Tactile controls, including illuminated buttons and twelve easy-to-use manual faders, combine with LED metering to improve the whole mixing experience.
In addition to offering everything the standard CL-12 does, the CL-12 Alaia also features incredibly smooth gliding Penny & Giles faders — the best in the industry. Gorgeous custom hardwood side panels also enhance the look of the CL-12 Alaia. Available in either Blonde Maple or Red Mahogany, the panels are handmade by Amish craftsmen specifically for Sound Devices, LLC. The CL-12 Alaia also comes with a pair of black aluminum side panels.
Dedicated Tactile Controls
The CL-12 features large, backlit transport buttons for record and stop, as well as numerous dedicated buttons for fast access to menus and other key functionality, such as track arming, naming, and routing. Metadata entry is a button press away, and there are buttons for PFL, HPF, phase inversion, COMs and RTNs. There are even three user-definable buttons for flexible customization.
