The Ikan 5" DH5 Monitor delivers breathtaking image quality within a small, affordable package! Its 1920x1080 HD resolution provides a crisp image while the IPS screen ensures better color and viewing angles. The DH5 comes loaded with tons of value, making it the ideal choice for lightweight rigs and cameras.

Compact and featuring a Full HD 1920 x 1080 display, high contrast, and histogram and other confidence tools, ikan's DH5 5" HDMI Monitor is an excellent fit for handheld applications with mirrorless and DSLR cameras. It has an HDMI input and output and a headphone output and audio meters for sound monitoring. The contrast ratio is 1000:1, providing for a sharp image, and brightness is a relatively high 450 nit. Moreover, the LED backlight intensity and color temperature can be adjusted and fine-tuned to varying conditions. This monitor is also very thin at just 0.7", and very lightweight at 3.2 oz, making it even more attractive for handheld productions as well as keeping it in your bag with your camera at all times. Yet despite its compact size, it's equally suitable for all other camera sizes and applications, especially considering its Full HD display.

The DH5 comes with a Canon LPE6 and a Sony L Series battery plate, which are quickly interchangeable by snap-on attachment/detachment. It also includes a sunhood and an AC adapter for continuous power. Confidence monitoring features include the common Peaking, False Color, and Zebra, and the not-as-common Histogram and Audio Wave (audio meters).

Monitoring Features

Histogram
A graphical representation of the pixels exposed in your image, this tool helps you get proper exposure. The left side of the graph represents the blacks or shadows, the right side represents the highlights or bright areas, and the middle section is mid-tones. How high the peaks reach represent the number of pixels in that particular tone.

Peaking
The DH5 is equipped with Monochrome Peaking features, which highlight the desired focus area in bright red outlines. As you adjust focus, the outlines become sharper, with razor sharpindicating optimal focus.

False Color
This feature employs a full spectrum of assigned color indicators, ensuring flawless shot exposure. Under-/over-luminance warnings enable you to reach for the desired quality every time.

Zebra
Displays a black-and-white pattern over the overexposed areas of the video.

Clip Guides
The DH5 offers adjustable upper Clip Guide levels to accurately display overexposed images in any shooting condition. You simply need to assign the upper IRE to your preference and any exposure over this set limit will flash in a vivid purple, indicating only the overexposed area.

DSLR Scaling
Allow DSLR users to extend a DSLR camera's HDMI video output to Normal, 3:2, 16:9, or Full Screen output.

Audio Wave
Displays audio stereo levels.

Grid
