The MARS X is a tiny transmitter allows you to stream the feed coming out of your camera to up to three iOS/Android devices. The MARS X is lightweight at only 112g and features crashproof aluminium corners. The single HDMI input on the side of the unit accepts video signals up to 1080P. Next to the HDMI input, there is a USB port to upgrade the firmware of the MARS X. The MARS X turns your phones/tablets into external monitors with a maximum transmission range of approximately 100 metres, and a latency of only 0.07s. The image is transmitted via an internal WiFi network, which requires a password to connect. To avoid interferences, there are eight frequency channels available that you can switch with the button on the side of the unit. The MARS X is an all-in-one package with built-in collapsible antennas and a built-in 1300 mAh battery. Hollyland claims that battery life is around 1 hour. If you need longer run time, it can be powered via a USB Type-C port on the side of the unit that accepts 5-12V inputs. Also, the same USB input is used to charge the unit. The MARS X connects to your smartphone via WiFi, but you’ll need to download the HollyView APP, that is available for iOS and Android devices.
