Orders for Delivery
We are currently processing and receiving an extremely high volume of orders. We have recently increased the size of our team and are processing orders as quickly and as safely as possible and appreciate your patience during these times.
StarTrack our courier delivery service partner is experiencing severe service and delivery shortfalls. This has resulted in both extended delays on package deliveries, and inaccurate or delayed tracking information once packages are handed onto the courier service. The StarTrack customer service team may not be aware of this issue and may provide inaccurate information. Unfortunately, these issues are out of our control.
If your order has been marked "DISPATCHED", this means your order has been collected by our StarTrack driver and is on its way to you.
Please Note: If you have selected an “Express” delivery option, please be aware that this is a service offered by StarTrack and only applies once your package has been passed onto the courier. This service does not relate to Videoguys Australia's internal order processing. We can not refund the shipping cost if the delays are caused by StarTrack’s service.
Customer Service Delays

We have recently increased the size of our team to aid the increased amount of enquires accordingly. Please be patient as our team is working through all inquiries as quickly as possible.

The Q8 marries high-definition video with high-resolution audio, making it the perfect camera for music and video creators everywhere. Its 160 degree wide-angle lens and digital zoom ensure that you’ll always capture the complete picture. Combine that with ZOOM’s groundbreaking interchangeable mic capsule system and two XLR/TRS combo inputs for a world of options.
Full range, crystal clarity. The Q8 delivers that same great Zoom sound quality you’ll find in all of our products, with support for high-resolution 24-bit/96kHz audio. It comes with a high-quality detachable X/Y microphone or you can connect different Zoom mic capsules.
A low-cut filter and foam windscreen allow you to eliminate low-frequency noise and rumble, and there are three Auto Gain settings, as well as a built-in compressor and limiter. Audio can be recorded along with video, or the Q8 can be used as a standalone stereo or four-channel audio-only recorder.
Go beyond High Definition. The Q8 goes beyond standard HD, offering 3M HD (2304 x 1296 pixels @ 30fps /24mbps) as well as two kinds of HD (24mbps and 16mbps for increased storage capability) at frame rates of up to 60 fps at 720p for capturing fast action video.
Its F2.0 aperture / 160˚ wide-angle lens ensures that you’ll capture every moment with full realism and sharp definition. Three “Scene” presets allow you to use the Q8 in a variety of different lighting conditions. And support for both standard and HD video file formats assures that you’ll have plenty of options when it comes to storage and streaming.
Change your point of view. Need a different POV? The Q8’s got you covered. Not only can it be attached to any standard tripod, it comes with a tripod-to-three-prong converter, so you can use it with every kind of action camera mount, too.
Take your Q8 onstage and mount it to your mic stand, amp, or drum kit. Shoot video from front row center and use the supplied stereo X/Y microphone to capture the audience experience. Or use the Q8 at the mixing position and record the feed from the board, as well as the sound of the room. Use multiple Q8s for a dramatic mix of different angles — the full-color touchscreen LCD is fully rotatable so you can always view your image regardless of camera positioning.
Connectivity, power to spare, and selectable file formats. A built-in USB port enables live streaming and allows the Q8 to be used as a webcam or USB microphone. It also allows connection with other equipment and computer software — even an iPad* — for post-production capability.
*Apple Camera Connection Kit required.
The supplied lithium-ion battery that powers the Q8 can be recharged easily in the studio or in the field, using either an optional AC adapter or via USB. Battery life is more than two hours when shooting at 720p/30fps. In audio recording-only mode, battery life is extended further still.
Recording Media The Q8 records directly to SD, SDHC, and SDXC cards, up to 128GB. Video is stored in MOV file format, with various HD settings for maximum video quality, or you can shoot in standard definition (SVGA) when space or streaming bandwidth is at a premium. Recorded audio can be integrated directly into the MOV file, or audio can be saved separately from the video data.

Q8 Review
I bought three of these to place around in live venues for band live sound recording and pics. Couple with mobile cameras with variable zoom they provide a great bonus for dropping in extra tucked away tucked away on small octopods. Great picture quality for very small lenses, but do suffer from the normal downfalls of lenses that small. But at the price are a great addition to the toolkit.

Great Sound, Good Video, Easy To Use, but....
I bought the Zoom Q8 to use for my vlogging and video production for my lectures. I wanted a low cost, great audio quality video camera to keep my videos consistent. The Zoom Q8 has worked out great so far, however, as you can tell my by 4 out of 5 score, it is not a perfect product.
I was originally using my Canon T2i with aftermarket mic to do my vlogging and lecture videos. The sound quality was inconsistent as I couldn't quite match the video sound quality with my voice overs. Since it was an aftermarket mic, I had to always ensure it was on prior to filming, which was just a frustrating extra step which I missed on more than one occasion. The Canon's video quality was good, but it was a pain to setup with computer connection, and would overheat (a common problem with that model) after 10+ minutes of use.
Enter the Zoom Q8.
As a musician, I have enjoyed several Zoom products over the years. I currently own a Zoom G5 guitar processor and a Zoom R16 recording control unit. Zoom products have a great balance between cost and quality. Zoom's are never top of the line, but make up for this being feature rich and innovative. The Zoom Q8 is feature rich, has some good innovation, but... isn't quite perfect, which is expected for the low price.
I was able to set up my Zoom Q8 easily for my vlogging and lecture recording and the sound quality did not disappoint. I have made videos with consistent voice overs which is great. The video quality is good, and works way better in low light conditions than my Canon T2i. I have used the extra XLR ports for test recordings and impressed with the results. For the price, I am quite happy with the Zoom Q8... but here comes the negatives, which I could for see being fixed with a firmware update.
I am disappointed that the Zoom Q8 currently (May 2015) cannot be used as both a Webcam and a Mic. The options are USB Mic, which I use for my voice over recordings for consistency with my vlog and lectures, which is great, and webcam... but not both. This to me is a very odd feature not to have. Perhaps a future firmware update will change this, but this is a major reason why I currently cannot give the Zoom Q8 a perfect score.
Also, as a musician, I was hoping that the Zoom Q8 could act as a 4 track input for my computer similar to my Zoom R16. The Zoom Q8 does act as a standalone 4 track recorder just fine. The Mic volume is easily controlled and clipping can be seen on the volume indictors on screen for all 4 mic inputs. Just a little disappointed with no computer connection (as of May 2015), but not the end of the world.
You should also remember there is no "zoom" like other video cameras. You can zoom in and out using on screen push buttons, but the Zoom is best used for static shots. You should know this ahead of time if you have done your homework to research the Zoom Q8.
If you want a low cost, high sound quality, good video quality camera, the Zoom Q8 is for you. It will be near perfect for my needs a firmware update allows for it to be used as both a webcam and mic.

Zoom q8, Pick up and Go
This product is handy. I've used it many times already and it's only been a month. I've used it for filming events, online videos, short films and a documentary. This is a pick up and go camera. It's lightweight and sounds great.
Unfortullently the fish eye effect ruins this camera's potential as a primary camera for professional usage, instead the video function is only used for pairing audio with primary video in professional and prosumer productions. But for productions where fisheye doesn't matter. Like home and online videos, this camera is ideal. (lost one star for compulsory fish eye)
For the pro this is a great sound camera and a lightweight companion. For the consumer this camera is an easy to use, pick up and go, with professional sound quality built in, at approximately the same price as a GoPro, this camera is an easy winner.
I'd like to order Zoom Q8 Recorder and Zoom Shotgun Mic SSH-6 to go with the recorder. I'm in a hurry to have the recorder. Stock availability on your website shows 2-3 days shipping for Shotgun Mic but I can wait for the microphone. I'd like to make sure that I receive the recorder asap and don't mind order separately. Would I risk delay in receiving if I ordered two items together today?

Verified Reply - Sales TeamIt doesn't have a dedicated stills mode. You would have to take video footage & then take a still frame out of that.
Q
I would also like to buy an extra battery or two if I buy a Zoom Q8, but because you have to order online, I'm not sure how to do this. Also I would like to buy a 128 gig card. Do you have these?
